The Maryland Freedom Caucus held what they called a “tax revolt” rally on Lawyers’ Mall in Annapolis. The Republican lawmakers were joined by community leaders, business owners and former Governor Bob Ehrlich on Wednesday to stand against tax increases being proposed in the General Assembly. The caucus says Marylanders are being hit with higher taxes, new taxes and fees but Democrats are not cutting enough spending. Baltimore County Delegate Kathy Szeliga says “politicians are increasing the already bloated budget, and they’re looking for any tax and every tax to raise.”
