W.V. SCHOOL BUILDING AUTHORITY FACES TOUGH DECISIONS

The West Virginia School Building Authority must allocate 54-million-dollars among 28 county school districts seeking funding.  The total requests exceed 250-million-dollars, with several counties needing to build entirely new schools.  Kanawha County Schools is requesting 20-million-dollars for a new eastern-end elementary school, while Putnam County seeks 25-million for a new Hurricane Middle School.  The SBA will announce funding decisions at their December 16th meeting.
