Maryland’s Sixth Congressional District seat will stay in the blue column. Republican candidate Neil Parrott conceded defeat to Democrat April McClain-Delaney today. The district includes all of Western Maryland and parts of the state’s Washington, D.C. suburbs. McClain-Delaney has about 52-percent of the vote. NBC News called the race in her favor on Friday. In a statement, Parrott said the vast majority of votes have been counted and it has become clear that McClain-Delaney will be elected to the seat.
