Gena Spear has been appointed to the position of Health Officer of the Allegany County Health Department, replacing Junie Delizo. Ms. Spear also served as support to Interim Health Officer Margaret Wright in 2022 and 2023. She has been serving as the Interim Health Officer since November of last year and had previously been employed at the Thomas B. Finan Center, as Assistant Director of Fiscal Services for 15 years and as Chief Fiscal Officer for five years.
