Eighteen-year-old Kaleb Jas York has been arrested in connection with the shooting of 38-year-old Celina Smith, who remains at UPMC, Pittsburgh. Ms. Smith was shot early in the morning of June 30th in the West Oldtown Road/Glenwood Street area. York was identified after witness interviews, evidence gathering and the execution of search warrants. He is charged with attempted murder, felony assault, and reckless endangerment, and is being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center. Originally, there were erroneous reports Ms. Smith had died from her injuries; however she remains in what is being called “dire” condition at UPMC.
