CONGRESSIONAL INCUMBENTS RE-ELECTED IN MARYLAND PRIMARY

Maryland’s U.S. House incumbents have been re-elected to represent their parties in the November election. This includes Republican Andy Harris from District 1, as well as Democrats Glenn Ivey from District 4, Steny Hoyer from District 5, Kweisi Mfume from District 7 and Jamie Raskin from District 8. Republicans George McDermott and Michelle Talkington won in Districts 4 and 5 respectively unopposed. The results for the GOP primary in District 3 aren’t in yet but Republican Robert Steinberger leads with 6-point-28 percentage points with an estimated of more than 76-percent of votes counted. However, Democrat Sarah Elfreth won District 3 in the Democratic primary. Results of the state primary are available online.
