With thousands of car enthusiasts expected to visit Ocean City, police are taking steps to ensure everyone’s safety. From today, through Sunday the 19th, Ocean City will be designated as a Special Event Zone due to the Cruisin’ Ocean City event. Speed limits will be reduced during that time and fines will be increased for violations. Residents and visitors should expect a significant police presence with officers from allied agencies assisting the Ocean City Police Department. The traffic laws will be strictly enforced .
