School safety is the focus of a series of meetings being hosted by the state Department of Education. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and West Virginia Department of Homeland Security are joining in on the meetings with county school officials from around the state. There are four different regional meetings planned, starting today at the Embassy Suite in Charleston.
