Many area Harrisburg-area businesses are joining national chains to offer discounts to teachers and school staff members for Teacher Appreciation week. Buffalo Wild Wings, Golden Corral, Raising Cane’s, TGI Fridays and Potbelly Sandwiches are offering various giveaways to educators with a school ID. At Staples, teachers with a valid ID can get a free supply kit and get 20 percent off in-store purchases through May 11th. The National Parent Teacher Association has dedicated the first full week of May as Teacher Appreciation Week for the past 40 years.
