WEST VIRGINIA COAL IMPACTED BY BRIDGE COLLAPSE

The ripples of the bridge collapse in Baltimore are being felt back here in coal country.  The Consol Energy Marine Coal Terminal in the harbor is sitting idle, as the export of coal mined in West Virginia will begin backing up.  Chris Hamilton, president of the West Virginia Coal Association, says about 30-percent of the coal exported from the state runs through the harbor in Baltimore.  The timetable for when shipping will return to normal is unknown
