RAVENS’ PLAYER HELPS TO SAVE A LIFE ON FLIGHT TO PHOENIX

Ravens tight end Mark Andrews helped to save a woman’s life during a Thursday flight from Baltimore to Phoenix. Passenger Andrew Springs posted details on X, saying he was sitting near Andrews when the woman began to lose consciousness. A doctor and a nurse on the flight began to help the woman and that’s when Andrews asked if her blood sugar could be low. Andrews was diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes at the age of nine and he offered the use of his diabetic test kit. The woman was given orange juice and she began to stabilize. Paramedics met the flight when the plane landed. In a statement, Andrews says “in addition to the fast-acting flight attendants, the real heroes are the nurse and doctor who also happened to be on the plane. Thankfully, they were able to provide the woman the quick assistance she needed.”
