The city of Cumberland Engineering Department is notifying the public that George Street will be closed to through traffic, between Butler Alley and Dexter Place from 6 a.m. today through 4 p.m. tomorrow. Signs will be in place to notify passenger vehicles about the closure. Local access to businesses on George Street will be kept open where feasible. More information will be released if the closure duration needs to be extended.
