Representatives of the Montainview Landfill are hoping to expand their operation by adding an additional 50 acres for refuse processing. A presentation on the request was given during the county’s work session last week. Expansion has been part of plans for the site since the 1990’s and it was noted the current landfill would likely reach its maximum use by 2026. Details on the request are still being worked out, before any further action can be taken.
