OFFICIALS SAY DRIVERS SHOULD PREPARE FOR HOLIDAY, WINTER TRAVEL

PREDICTIONS

Pennsylvania State transportation and emergency management officials are warning Pennsylvanians drivers to take extra precautions during the holiday and winter travel seasons. They say you need to especially keep an eye out for snow squalls and other weather systems that can move onto highways and local roads quickly. That warning comes more than a year after a deadly pileup on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County that killed six people. The incident was blamed on a snow squall that dumped blizzard-like conditions into the area in a very short period of time.
