MD. CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION SECURES $74 MILLION IN ENERGY ASSISTANCE

Maryland’s Congressional delegation has secured more than 74-million-dollars in federal funding to help low-income families with their energy bills. The Department of Health and Human Services funding for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program will help reduce costs associated with home energy bills, weatherization and energy-related repairs. The lawmakers say with colder months approaching, the federal funds arrive at a critical time to help ensure that Maryland families can stay safe and warm this winter.
