Democratic Congressman David Trone has already spent nearly ten-million-dollars of his own money in his effort to succeed Ben Cardin in the U.S. Senate. The 68-year-old Trone is the co-founder of Total Wine and More. Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks and Montgomery County Councilman Will Jawando are also seeking to replace Cardin, who is not seeking re-election next year. Alsobrooks has spent over a million-dollars on the campaign so far, while Jawando has spent around 430-thousand-dollars.
