PROTESTORS DEMONSTRATE AT STATE CAPITOL FOR EDUCATION CONTRACT

Members and supporters of a newly-formed union at the Harrisburg-Area Community College are rallying at the state Capitol. Organizers say the action Wednesday is in response to the college only offering a contract that still leaves union members’ pay and benefits largely in the hands of administrators. The protestors also say the school isn’t taking the group’s status as union members seriously. Two of its representatives were arrested at a membership drive in August.
