PARK’S DUCK POND AREA TO BE DEVELOPED

The city of Cumberland is planning to develop the duck pond area at Constitution Park into a landscaped water centerpiece with a walking track around it. Money for the project will come from the American Rescue Plan Act, which provides economic relief due to problems caused by the global pandemic. Brush and overgrowth in the area has been removed, with better drainage now in place. Other upgrades at the park have included wood replacement on some of the concrete picnic tables and a repaired sewer line in the pool area.
