Columbus, Ohio resident Joseph Alan Gordon has been indicted by an Allegany County grand jury on 17 counts, including nine felony charges of rape, kidnapping and first-degree assault. Gordon is accused of kidnapping a Frostburg woman, taking her to another location in an attempted sexual assault. He is also accused of abducting an eight-year-old girl; she and Gordon were seen leaving a vacant barn in the area of the west end of Frost Avenue. He remains jailed without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center and is scheduled for an initial appearance on October 24th in Circuit Court.
