HAMPSHIRE RESIDENT SENTENCED ON FEDERAL FIREARMS CHARGE

Rio, West Virginia resident Jason Lee Gordon has been sentenced to two years in federal prison for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Gordon had been involved in a destruction of property complaint; officers found Gordon in his car, in a ditch. Deputies recovered three rifles, two shotguns and four pistols in the vehicle. He had previously been convicted of domestic violence in Mineral County in 2009, and was prohibited from possessing firearms.
