New Creek resident Norman Andrew Fitzgerald is awaiting extradition, after a federal indictment charged him with drug distribution. The fugitive from justice warrant was issued by the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of West Virginia. He is charged with distributing fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute the drug, and possession of an unregistered firearm. Fitzgerald will be returned to the federal custody of West Virginia authorities, pending the outcome of extradition proceedings.
