CREWS RESPOND TO CRASH ON FRANKFORT HIGHWAY

Numerous crews from Mineral County responded to an auto crash with entrapment yesterday afternoon on the Frankfort Highway in the Fort Ashby area. Mineral County’s Office of Emergency Management says fire and ambulance crews, along with the Department of Highways, the Mineral County Medic and the Trooper Five helicopter from the Maryland State Police were on the scene. A second helicopter was also requested. The incident was first reported at 2:08 p.m. and involved at least two vehicles. Frankfort Highway was shut down for a period of time, while the scene was cleared.  The West Virginia State Police barrack  at Keyser is investigating the crash.
