STATE TREASURER CALLS OUT MARYLAND, ORIOLES ON STADIUM DEAL DELAY

Maryland Treasurer Dereck Davis is accusing the state and the Orioles of dragging out negotiations to renew the team’s lease at Camden Yards.  Davis spoke at Wednesday’s Maryland Board of Public Works’ meeting and questioned whether something is holding up a deal because it’s taking so long.  Earlier this year, Orioles’ chairman and CEO John Angelos said he expected a lease would be finalized by the All-Star break, but that deadline passed last week.  Davis says his comments are aimed at putting pressure on both sides to be more vocal about what’s delaying the process.
