The Maryland Board of Public Works has approved a settlement of more then $13 million to resolve claims of unpaid wages due to the changing of timecards at the state’s corrections department. AFSCME Council 3, the union representing the workers, filed several complaints, alleging the state was illegally changing the time records for employees without their knowledge or permission.
