MARYLAND HEALTH: BEWARE OF TICKS

Warmer temperatures have prompted a friendly reminder to beware of infected ticks.  MD Health has launched a new Tick borne Disease awareness campaign to help prevent tick exposure.  Officials say that Lyme disease is the most common tickborne disease with nearly a-thousand cases reported in 2021.  People should consider wearing long pants and sleeves when outdoors, use EPA-approved insect repellents and shower immediately when you come inside.  Additional information can be found online.
