PENDING SALE

David’s Bridal plans to lay off more than nine-thousand employees and possibly close locations as it explores a potential sale.  The Conshohocken-based dress retailer announced its plans to terminate over 92-hundred workers over the next five months.  The news came in a notice submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry Thursday, but the exact number of layoffs in Pennsylvania isn’t clear.  According to the layoff filing, 15 stores within 9 counties in the state will be affected.  The company has more than 300 locations in North America.
