A state-of-the-art surveillance system for downtown Cumberland is in the works, and-according to the Cumberland Times-News-the idea is being well received. The system from ARK Systems, Inc. will be funded through nearly $150,000 in grants and will include 13 cameras. The cameras feature sophisticated facial and license plate recognition capabilities.
