Governor Jim Justice would be a landslide winner to be the GOP’s selection for West Virginia’s upcoming Senate seat. A poll conducted in mid-March by National Public Affairs shows the governor with 100-percent name recognition and an approval rating of 77-percent. His closest challenger, Representative Alex Mooney, was not even a recognizable name to one-third of those polled, and less than half gave the congressman a favorable approval rating. Justice has yet to throw his name into the ring, but a decision is expected soon.
