Cumberland resident Samuel Elijah England is awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania, following his arrest Saturday morning on Maryland Avenue at Kingsley Place. During a traffic stop, England told officers he had a handgun in the vehicle. He had an active arrest warrant from Bedford County on CDS paraphernalia charges, and he was prohibited from have a gun, due to previous qualifying crimes. Following a hearing before a District Court Commissioner, he was held on $5,000 bond, but the fugitive warrant was used as a detainer, pending his extradition to Pennsylvania.
