Following the discovery of a dead horse on a property in Jefferson County, the Sheriff’s Department has removed several horses. A total of 13 horses were recovered from the Summit Point farm where they were housed in deplorable conditions. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Animal Control are investigating the farm and animal cruelty charges are possible.
