MOSBY FEDERAL TRIAL MAY NOT START UNTIL OCTOBER 31ST

Marilyn Mosby’s federal trial may not start until the fall.  Maryland U.S. Attorney Erek Barron has filed a joint status report to inform the court that both the government and defense will be available October 31. Pretrial motions could begin in May. Earlier this year the trial was delayed for a third time because Mosby’s defense team withdrew from the case.  The former City State’s Attorney was assigned a federal public defender who needed time to prepare for the trial. Mosby faces charges that include perjury and making false mortgage statements in the purchase of two Florida vacation homes.
