Stop what you’re doing and check your smoke alarms. That’s the message from the Maryland State Fire Marshal this morning. It comes after a pair of fires in Carroll County claimed two-lives on Presidents Day. Officials are reminding folks to contact their local fire department if they need smoke alarms installed in their homes.
