Fewer Marylanders are filing jobless claims. The U.S. Labor Department reports there were about 17-hundred initial filings for unemployment benefits across the state for the week ending February 11th. That’s down nearly 300 from the previous week. Nationally, new claims dropped by one-thousand, to 194-thousand.
