OSHA FINES CANDY MAKER FOR 2 WORKERS FALLING INTO CHOCOLATE VAT

Federal safety authorities have fined leaders at an Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania candy plant after two workers fell into a vat of chocolate last year.  The Occupational Safety and Health Administration says Mars Wrigley was cited in the June accident at the Elizabethtown M&M/Mars factory.  The fine was for 14-thousand-500-dollars.  OSHA says the two workers, who were trained by an outside contractor, weren’t supposed to be working in the tanks and weren’t trained on proper procedures for the equipment.
