COURT FILING INDICATES NEW DEFENSE ATTORNEY FOR MARILYN MOSBY

A new filing in federal court indicates that former Baltimore City State’s Attorney has a new defense attorney. Public defender James Wyda will represent Mosby after a hearing last week that allowed her entire defense team withdraw from the case.  The attorneys claimed they could no longer represent Mosby because of a conflict of interest and a lack of resources and she did not object.  Mosby was declared indigent during the hearing and eligible for a public defender. Mosby is set to stand trial in March for perjury and falsifying mortgage applications in the purchase of two Florida vacation homes.
