ARCHBISHOP OF BALTIMORE ELECTED V.P. OF U.S. CONFERENCE OF CATHOLIC BISHOPS

Baltimore Archbishop William Lori is elected as Vice President of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops during the group’s fall assembly in Baltimore. The 71-year-old Archbishop was one of ten candidates being considered for president of the organization. Timothy Broglio, the Archbishop for U.S. military services received the highest number of votes with Lori coming in second and winning a second round of voting.
