Maryland leaders are taking steps to address the digital divide for underserved households. Governor Hogan announced that the state will purchase 30-million-dollars worth of laptops to give people reliable high-speed internet access. Around 150-thousand households will benefit from the deal. The application process for local jurisdictions will begin early next month.
