PA. STATE PARKS NOW REQUIRED TO HAVE NALOXONE TO COMBAT O.D. DEATHS

Pennsylvania state parks are now required to have a supply of naloxone on hand to combat overdose deaths.  Naloxone is used to try to restore capability to someone whose breathing has stopped or slowed after overdosing.  Though the medication can be administered without medical training, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources requires all state park officers to be trained and carry a kit while on duty.
