AUTHORITIES WARN OF HEAT DANGER

Authorities are warning Marylanders about the danger heat can cause as temperatures skyrocket across the state.  Officials with the Maryland Transportation Authority Police say that temperatures inside of a parked vehicle can be significantly higher than outside.  A vehicle without its air conditioning on can reach around 123-degrees if it’s only about 85-degrees outdoors.  Drivers should always double check to make sure they don’t leave any children or pets unattended when they leave their vehicle alone.
