DEEP CREEK LAKE CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION

July 19, 2025 from 12 Noon to 10 p.m.

The DCL 100 Birthday Bash is a celebration of both the 100-year legacy of Deep Creek Lake and the vibrant community that makes it special. The celebration takes place at the Garrett County Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from noon to 10 p.m.fora day of fun, music and community spirit. Admission is just 25-cents per person, the same price as fair entry in 1925. They will be collecting quarters as a unique way to count attendees while honoring the past. Dan’s Mountain Trail Spruce Up Days

Saturday June 28th and July 12th 9am – noon

Meet up at the trailhead across from the pool. Help park staff improve recreation opportunities on the Lonacona Loop by building a new connector trail that will provide sustainable, shorter loops to enjoy. No tools or experience are needed, just a willingness to work hard, learn new skills, and enjoy the company of trail enthusiasts from the community. Please bring your own water, work gloves, and comfortable work boots. Free pizza will be provided at noon, courtesy of the Dans Mountain Volunteer Team.

Frostburg Elks Derby Day

Friday, July 4, 2025, beginning at 9 a.m.

The 48th annual Frostburg Elks Derby Day is being held July 4th, beginning at 9 a.m. (Rain date is July 5th) The event began in 1977 with 22 cars; they are anticipating 64 cars and drivers this year, racing down Main Street. A parade of drivers begins at 9 a.m. Trophies will be awarded after the last race, in front of the Elks Lodge.

Maple City Farmer’s Market

Thursdays through September

The Maple City Farmer’s Market takes place every Thursday through September at Paul E. Fuller Park in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Farmer’s Market features baked goods, flowers, plants, crafts, hand-made items and much more!

Accident July 4th Homecoming

July 4th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Accident Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring the Accident July 4th Homecoming. The day starts at 9 a.m. with a worship service at St. Paul’s. A variety of activities are planned, and new this year—a pulled pork sandwich dinner, which also includes potato salad and cole slaw. Patterson Creek Volunteer Fire Company 75th Anniversary

The Patterson Creek Volunteer Fire Company is inviting you to join them on Saturday, July 5th, to celebrate its 75th Anniversary with the community. Events begin at 12 Noon, with a Battle of the Barrels among local fire departments. There will be tons of fun vendors for the children, including a Stuffed Animal Workshop, face painting, and animal balloons.There will be a DJ for musical entertainment and food trucks. They are being held through October 30th at Canal Place from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Thursday; at City Place in Frostburg on Fridays through October 24th, also from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and, at the Canal Place Depot on Saturdays through October 25th.

Berlin Community Grove 4th of July Activities

Berlin Community Grove is having its 4th of July celebration from 9 .m. to 9 p.m., including a Community Picnic, Car Cruise, Basket Raffle, a chicken BBQ and other food during the day, live bands, and vendors. Come on out! It’s fun for the entire family!

Potomac Valley Relay For Life

Relay for Life of Potomac Valley will have its event on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Brighten Park from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Teams are needed for the Cornhole Tournament and the Softball Tournament. There is no entry fee, simply a donation and trophies will be awarded to the top 3 teams in the softball tournament. In the Cornhole Tournament, the 1st place teams win $100. Corriganville Volunteer Fire Company Chicken BBQ

The Corriganville Volunteer Fire Company is having a chicken BBQ on Friday, July 11, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dinners are only $10, and includes a half-chicken, roll, and choice of two sides OR french fries. Ellerslie Days July 25-27, 2025

Bingo, Music, Fireworks, and more!

Ellerslie Days will be held July 25th through July 27th, in the field behind the Post Office. Cash Bingo will be held at the Ellerslie Volunteer Fire Department, beginning at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the Opening Ceremonies will be held at 12 Noon, followed by a day of games, bounce houses, live bands and a fireworks show, sponsored by Shaffer Construction. On Sunday, there’ll be bounce houses, bull riding, a rock climbing wall and axe throwing. There will be two live bands, and a kids and adults Power Wheels Derby. Vendor spots are available. Keyser VFD Junior Fire Camp

The Keyser Fire Department will host a Junior Fire Camp from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 28th through August 2nd at the Keyser Fire Department Station #2 on Cornell Street.
