HOGAN ANNOUNCES FURTHER COVID-19 PREVENTION EFFORTS

The Maryland State Police will be out, in force, over the Thanksgiving holiday, to not only monitor drunk and drugged driving, but also to enforce state mandates to stem the COVID-19 surge in the state. During a press conference today, the Governor announced that the Maryland State Police will be investigating violations of state law, utilizing phone and email support. They will be doing compliance checks. At 5 p.m. Wednesday, the Maryland Emergency Management Agency will send out a mobile phone alert to all Marylanders, reminding them of measures they can take, to reduce the number of COVID-19 infections. A hotline has been established to report any violations; that number is 833-979-2266.
