TEN NEW DEATHS FROM COVID-19 IN ALLEGANY COUNTY

There have been ten deaths from COVID-19 since last Friday, bringing the death toll to 40. Since Monday, there have been 292 new cases identified. The case rate is now 124.77 per 100,000, compared to the state average of 30.95 per 100,000. Allegany County’s current positivity rate is 13.22, compared to the statewide average at 6.82 per cent. There will be another drive-thru testing event tomorrow at the Allegany County Fairgrounds from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The testing is free; there is no appointment, insurance or doctor’s order required.
