COUNTRY CLUB MALL SOLD TO UNKNOWN ENTITY

The Country Club Mall was sold during an online auction yesterday, according to the commercial real estate firm, Ten-X. The identity of the buyer is not known, and will not be disclosed until the sale closes and the information is entered into public land records. Local officials are taking a “wait-and-see” attitude about the mall, which opened in 1981. Three anchor stores, including Bon Ton, Sears, and J.C. Penney have closed their doors, with the lone anchor tenant being Wal Mart.
