MORE COVID-19 CASES SINCE FRIDAY

The Allegany County Health Department is reporting 147 new cases of COVID-19 since Friday, bringing the county’s total cumulative case count to 1,617. The majority of new cases in recent weeks has been in individuals over the age of 30, with the highest concentration between the ages of 30 and 59. As of November 15th, Allegany County’s seven day case rate was 112.6 per 100,000 population, compared to the state average of 28.2 per 100,000. Allegany County’s current positivity rate is 12.57%, while the state average is about half that, at 6.45 per cent.
