EXPANDED RESTAURANT CAPACITY BEGINS TODAY

Beginning this afternoon at 5 p.m., capacity for indoor operations at restaurants will increase from 50 to 75 per cent capacity, with appropriate distancing, and following strict public health requirements. Governor Larry Hogan made the announcement, in conjunction with the statewide Maryland Restaurant Week. The state’s Leisure and Hospitality sector experienced the most job growth in August with an increase of 5800 jobs. Overall, the state gained 183,200 jobs during the recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.
