Allegany County Sheriff’s Senior Deputy Kyle Rounds is being credited for extinguishing last week’s fire at the Good News Assembly of God Church at 500 National Highway. The fire began when someone who was cleaning, sprayed disinfectant into a light switch, creating sparks and igniting the fire behind a wall. Rounds, with the assistance of an employee there, found a fire extinguisher and was able to limit the spread of the fire. The fire caused about $3,000 in damage.
